Education

We work with a number of educational establishments, predominantly secondary and primary schools. Our work can involve anything from new-build projects to refurbishment programmes, from plastering and dry lining to suspended ceilings and external renders.

We are highly experienced in working around school calendars and logistically working around staff and children. We understand the need to keep school sites safe, cause as little disruption as possible, and stick closely to deadlines to enable the school day to continue as normally as possible.

An example of our work in schools is our role in the refurbishment of the Bemrose School in Derby.

We were brought in to work on Phase 2 of the project, refurbishing the existing school, while the school is operating, as well as during some holidays.

The £160k six month project was completed for Kier Group, alongside Moorcroft Electrical.

Commercial

We work closely with commercial businesses to help create an excellent finish to a structure, either through dry lining, plastering or rendering; helping to ensure the end product looks high quality.

We have worked on a number of projects from new-build structures to refurbishment projects, restoration and industrial schemes, such as the Markham Vale project at junction 29A of the M1, playing our part in the creation of a brand new distribution centre.

Working with organisations in the education sector, both further education colleges and schools, not to mention hospitality clients and residential sites for universities, we have worked on a breadth of programmes in recent months and years.

Our services are transferrable for any structure, sector and area of business, the end goal is always the same – an excellent finish and an excellent service.

Residential

We work on a range of residential projects, delivering plastering, dry lining, external render and suspended ceilings for new build developments and refurbishment projects, to sites across the East Midlands and beyond.

The residential schemes we work on vary from student accommodation, such as Nottingham Trent University’s Brackenhust campus project (detailed below) to care homes, apartment schemes, such as The Mount in Ashbourne.

Student accommodation projects such our 2019 project with Nottingham Trent University are amazing schemes to be a part of. Many of the rooms, corridors and common rooms are identical, enabling us to take a very systematic modular approach – at times we were occupying a whole floor, working in different rooms at different stages of the process.

The 191 bedroom accommodation is split over six blocks, across two sites on the same campus. Logistically this had to be meticulously managed, working closely in collaboration with our principal contractor Clegg Construction.

Housing

We supply dry lining, plastering and rendering services to support developers, house builders and restoration specialists across the East Midlands and beyond.

Our work has seen us support Pillars Holding in their beautiful development of 14 apartments in the heart of Ashbourne, helping to create luxury homes with Pearl Living and supporting Taylor French on their most recent development programmes.

We believe that whatever project we are working on, a high-end dry lining and plastered finish is paramount to ensuring a home looks clean, slick and brand new. We take the responsibility of delivering on this requirement very seriously, and make sure the gangs working with us work efficiently, tidily and leave a site in as good a condition as possible.

Retail

We work with a range of retail establishments, such as restaurants, pubs, shops and estate agents to make sure the finish to their business premises is high quality and fit to be shared with their customers and the public.

The look and feel we can create just with a quality finish on the walls of a retail unit, a well fitted and lit suspended ceiling and a beautifully smooth plaster or render, can make all the difference to a retailer as they present their offer to customers.

We worked alongside Castlehouse Construction on its new-build retail development with German supermarket chain, Lidl. The site on Chatsworth Road in Chesterfield presented us with a tight six week timescale, at a value of £60k. Our teams worked hard alongside Castlehouse to meet specific deadlines, create a quality finish and leave the site in a good condition.

The project included dry lining and plastering the welfare area and partitions separating the shop from the welfare area.
