Company Director, Steven Pollitt, formed the business, SSP Construction Services, in January 2015, starting out the business, providing management services within the internal finishing sector.

He was joined by friend and colleague, and now fellow Director, Martin Bettridge in September 2018, who comes with 20 years site experience. They then rebranded the business as East Midlands Dry Lining Ltd.

Providing drylining, plastering and rendering services, East Midlands Dry Lining (EMDL), is an ever-growing business, working with the likes of Kier, Clegg Construction, NMCN and Stepnell, to name a few client partners.

Steven, a qualified quantity surveyor, has a raft of experience project managing construction programmes, and brings many of his skills and experience to the fore.

Some of the company’s most prestigious projects to date include their involvement in the £1.8m restoration of St Martin’s Lodge in Leicester, for the Diocese of Leicester. This programme of work saw the Georgian building, which had previously housed offices, converted into 28 luxury double and twin bedrooms. EMDL was appointed to carry out all the drylining and lime plaster repairs for this building and helped to create a ‘first class’ hotel experience for visitors to Leicester.

The team at EMDL is equally proud of its work with Make Homes on their Burton-on-Trent housing development. Based on Victoria Crescent in the Staffordshire town, the brand new family homes all required drylining, plastering and external render services. EMDL began the £260k project in June 2018.

Based in Nottinghamshire, just off the M1, EMDL is perfectly placed in the East Midlands to service sites across the country.
